Short Bridal Hairstyles: Get Your Dream Wedding Style, Whatever Your Hair Length

8/31/2020

Picture
When you picture a bride, you picture long hair swept into a gorgeous wedding hairstyle, right? If you have short hair, you may think you could never pull off that look, but you may just be surprised.

No matter your hair length, there are beautiful and elegant wedding hairstyles a reputable stylist can create for you!

Updos Aren’t out of the Question
Believe it or not, stylists can work magic with updos and short hair. It’s all in the technique. While they can’t sweep up your hair in a sophisticated chignon, they can wrap your cute locks up, layering them on one another, creating an elegant and unique look. Let your hairstylist try it at your trial appointment to see what you think!

Low Buns are Elegant Too
If you want your hair swept ‘up’ but can’t quite get it higher than your neck, consider a low bun. They are whimsical and elegant at the same time and work great with certain hairpieces. Talk to your stylist about your options, or ask what type of hairpieces would work best if you chose the low bun before you buy one.

Use the Half Up Hairstyle
Wedding hair doesn’t mean it has to be worn up, but if you’ve always imagined a ‘swept up’ look, consider a half-up hairstyle. Sweep up the sides and half of the back, but not the entire hair. Use elegant clips and accessories to dress it up, making your hair look romantic and elegant for your big day.

Accessorize It
If you have short hair, such as the pixie style, consider just going with more accessories. A flower band or an elegant veil will make your hair look sweet and romantic no matter how short it is. Pixie hairstyles are great at showing off your amazing facial features – and what more does your groom want to see on your wedding day than your beautiful smile?

Loose Curls are Sweet
Some brides don’t want the elegant and sophisticated look; they would rather look like ‘themselves’ on their wedding day. Low loose curls are the perfect way to do just that. They don’t take away from the dress, or your beautiful face, and yet they add a sense of elegance to your everyday hairstyle.

Use Side Pins
Short hair that can’t be swept up or curled looks elegant with side pins. Your stylist can pin back the front of your hair, while creating a sophisticated style with the rest of your hair. It’s a way to add a little bit of sophistication to your style without going overboard.

The sky is the limit when creating wedding hairstyles out of short hair. Experiment, have fun, and have an open mind when you sit down with your stylist to come up with your wedding hairdo. Think of your dress’s neckline and the look you want and together you’ll create the most magical hairstyle that will wow your guests and make you feel like a princess on your special day.

The Top Ways Vitamins A, D, E, K and F Help your Skin

8/24/2020

Your skin is your largest organ, so it pays to take care of it and that means getting the proper vitamins. Just like your body needs vitamins, so does your skin and that includes Vitamins A, D, E, K, and F for proper nutrition and to have the smooth, glowing, and youthful skin you desire.

The best way to feed your skin the nutrients it needs is to eat a nutrient-rich diet and use skincare products naturally rich in Vitamins A, D, E, K, and F.

Vitamin AVitamin A keeps your skin moisturized, helps it heal, and prevents acne. It’s what gives your skin the healthy glow and keeps it looking young. So how can you get it?

  • Eat plenty of leafy greens, carrots, sweet potatoes, and eggs
  • Use products rich in Vitamin A, including creams or serums that enrich your skin’s surface, creating  a smooth, healthy surface

Vitamin D Did you know your skin has a metabolism? Similar to the metabolism of our digestive system, your skin’s metabolism is what helps your skin repair itself and continually grow. It’s what helps your skin have that smooth, youthful appearance rather than succumbing to wrinkles and damage from the free radicals. Without adequate Vitamin D, you may experience skin inflammation and little cell turnover.

Ways to get Vitamin D:
  • Eat plenty of vitamin-fortified milk and cereal, and consume fish such as salmon and tuna
  • Use creams rich in Vitamin D to fight inflammation and help fortify your skin

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps keep your skin smooth by protecting it from the environment’s free radicals, especially the sun’s UV rays. In fact, one of Vitamin E’s main jobs is to protect your skin from the sun’s damage, such as dark spots and wrinkles.

Ways to get Vitamin E:
  • Eat sunflower seeds, almonds, and spinach
  • Take a multi-vitamin with Vitamin E
  • Use products rich in Vitamin E to protect the skin, moisturize it and fight the signs of aging

Vitamin K If you’re tired of dark spots, dark circles under your eyes, and scars, your skin needs more Vitamin K. It helps speed up your skin’s healing powers by empowering your body’s blood clotting abilities.

Ways to get Vitamin K:
  • Eat kale, spinach, lettuce, and cabbage
  • Use rich creams with Vitamin K to help the skin heal, scar less, and look smooth

Vitamin FVitamin F is the fatty acids your skin needs. Just like your body needs good fat, so does your skin. The fat helps build a strong exterior to your skin, which helps fight the damage free radicals and water loss causes, helping your skin stay smooth and supple.

Ways to get Vitamin F:
  • Eat almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds, and walnuts
  • Use creams rich in Vitamin F to help keep your skin moisturized

Vitamins A, D, E, K, and F are all amazing for your skin. While you can get them in many foods, supplementing your skin with products containing the vitamins helps strengthen your skin, giving it the smooth, healthy, and youthful appearance you desire.
